My Blog

May begins my search for Michigan's beauty.  My summer is spent exploring closeby in the Detroit area:  Greenfield Village,  Henry Ford Estate,  my historical Dearborn neighborhood, downtown in the D.  I travel the state throughout the summer,  stopping to paint in local towns, along the Great Lakes,  on the inland rivers and streams.  I spend much of my summer in a log cabin along Lake Michigan and ferry across to Mackinac Island as often as possible.  I keep my plein aire supplies in the back
